Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 June 2026
Famant lives in the most intimate corner of your life, your family. We take that seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what information Famant collects, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the control you have over it.
Famant is operated by Antutive AB, a company registered in Sweden (“Famant”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the information described here.
01Who we are
Famant is a companion app for the everyday work of family life, shared calendars, tasks and chores, reminders, and family chat. It is built and operated by Antutive AB, Sweden. When this policy says “your information”, it means information about you and the family members who share your Famant space.
This policy applies to the Famant mobile app, the famant.com website, and any related services that link to it. It does not cover third-party products we don’t control.
02Information we collect
We only collect what we need to make family life a little lighter. That falls into three groups:
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Family content: the events, tasks, lists, notes, and messages you and your family add to your shared space.
- Profile preferences: your display colour, notification settings, and similar choices.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you contact support.
Information we collect automatically
- Device & app data: device type, operating system, app version, and language, used to keep the app working well.
- Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting information about which features are used, so we can improve them.
- Diagnostics: crash and performance logs that help us fix problems.
Information from others
If a family member invites you, we receive your invitation details so you can join their space. If you sign in through Apple or Google, we receive the basic account information you approve at sign-in.
03How we use your information
We use your information only to run Famant and make it better, never to profile or sell you. Specifically, to:
- Provide the core service, syncing your family’s calendar, tasks, and messages across devices.
- Send the reminders and gentle nudges you’ve asked for.
- Keep your account secure and prevent misuse or fraud.
- Respond to your questions and provide support.
- Understand which features help families most, so we can improve them.
- Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We rely on a lawful basis for each use: performing our contract with you, your consent (which you can withdraw), our legitimate interest in improving and securing Famant, and compliance with the law.
05Storage, security & retention
The personal content you share in Famant is encrypted in transit and at rest, and only the people you invite to your family space can see it. To provide the service, some processing takes place on our secure servers. It is used only to run Famant, never for advertising, and never sold. We limit access to the few people who need it to operate the service.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as we need it to provide the service. When you delete your account or data, we remove it as described below, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations.
06Your rights and choices
You are in control of your information. Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct: fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete: remove your account and personal data (see the next section).
- Restrict or object: ask us to limit how we use your information.
- Portability: receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent: at any time, where we rely on your consent.
You also have responsibilities: keep your login details safe, use Famant respectfully, and only add other people’s information (such as a child’s schedule) when you’re entitled to. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Sweden, this is the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
07Account & data deletion
You can permanently delete your account, or remove all of your personal data, at any time, directly from the app under Settings → Account. Account deletion ends your access to Famant and removes your personal content; data deletion clears your stored personal data while keeping your account.
For step-by-step instructions, what is removed, how long it takes, and how to request deletion if you no longer have the app installed, see our Delete Account & Data page.
08Children’s privacy
Famant is designed for families, and a parent or guardian holds the account. Famant accounts are intended for adults (18+), who may add information about their children to the family space on their behalf. We do not knowingly create accounts for children directly. If you believe a child has created an account without a parent, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
09International data transfers
Antutive AB is based in Sweden, and your information is primarily processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where information is transferred outside the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Famant grows or the law changes. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.
